2018 Hyundai Accent Gets Up Market Looks

Last year, when Hyundai debuted the all-new Elantra, many remarked on how much more upmarket it felt compared to its accessible MSRP. Now, that trend is continuing with its smaller sibling, the Accent. At this year’s Toronto Auto Show, the Korean automaker has unveiled the fifth generation model, which comes with quite a few new tricks up its sleeve.

The theme of the new Accent appears to be “subcompact premium,” which can be seen not just in the car’s handsome sheet metal, but also in its comfortable interior. Hyundai has added quite a lot to love here, including a 7-inch touch screen with phone connectivity. There have also been some changes under the skin, such as increased chassis rigidity, and a new 1.6-liter engine with improved gas mileage, and acceleration.
